Volunteer Librarian: [Monday-Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-3] Work in our volunteer-staffed giving library by organizing, inventorying, and packaging book donations. Regularly interact with people of our community and help them find books and suggest them too! Become a part of thousands of books going out into the community!
Literacy Coach: [Beginning again Fall 2018, Mondays-Thursdays, 3:00-6:00 p.m. Commitment: 2 or 3 days/week] Support our after-school Literacy Workshops centered around a variety of diverse topics such as gardening, dance, sports journalism, and more. Work with students on supporting them to independently read and write all while working with them on thoughtful and exciting activities and projects.
Visit to the Tree House Captain: [As Needed] Visits to the Tree House provides classrooms and summer camps the opportunity to join us for an Interactive story-time and a selection of Free Books! Visits to the Tree House Captains should be ready to lead story-time to our visiting guests and help with Book Selection.
Marketing Intern: [Weekdays. 8-15+ Hours Per Week. Flexible.] Interested in marketing, public relations, social media, or event planning? Help Tree House books grow by being an important part of our behind the scenes work!
Database Administrator: [Weekdays. 8-15+ Hours per week. Flexible.} Tree House Books is in need of a database administrator with expertise in google docs, excel, and Little Green Light CRM. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing contact information from a variety of sources and compile into a spreadsheet; organize and analyze data; streamline and standardize data for easy sorting; transport data into Little Green Light; create and standardize procedure and train staff/volunteers.
Oral History Intern: [Weekdays. 8-15+ Hours per week. Flexible] Help us preserve Tree House Book history by conducting interviews and curating our long, rich history of serving the community through literacy.
Grant Research and Database Maintenance Intern: [Weekdays. 8-15+ Hours per week. Flexible] As Tree House Books grows, we need more support researching and maintaining our calendar of deadlines, as well as our online filing system for grant applications. Help us keep our shelves stocked with books, and our kids with a safe space to read, write, and think!
